Ambushed! – Canvas

Leigh Lambert’s ‘Ambushed!’ is a delightful exploration of childhood nostalgia, capturing the playful essence of a snowy day. The artwork features Lambert’s signature monochromatic backdrop, a charming depiction of terraced houses under a grey sky, with smoke gently rising from chimneys. In stark contrast, a group of children, dressed in vibrant hues of red, blue, yellow, pink, and purple, dash through the snow-covered street, their laughter almost audible. This limited edition piece, measuring 53 × 45 cm framed, is a testament to Lambert’s ability to blend humour with everyday scenes, inviting viewers to reminisce about the simple joys of youth. Perfect for adding a touch of whimsy and warmth to any collection or home, ‘Ambushed!’ is a celebration of innocence and the timeless allure of play.
