Scoraggiato

Carl Melegari’s ‘Scoraggiato’ is a captivating exploration of human emotion, captured in his signature style that melds the figurative with the abstract. This original piece, measuring 123 × 98 cm, draws the viewer into a world of introspection and melancholy. The subject’s downward gaze and the dramatic dripping effect create a sense of movement and depth, inviting contemplation. Melegari’s use of monochromatic tones—black, white, and grey—enhances the emotional intensity, while the textured layers add a tactile dimension. This artwork is a testament to Melegari’s mastery in portraying the human form with raw emotion and vulnerability. ‘Scoraggiato’ would make a striking addition to any collection, offering both visual impact and a profound narrative that resonates with the viewer.
