Mercy

Richard King’s ‘Mercy’ is a captivating original artwork that invites you into a serene landscape where nature’s majesty is on full display. Measuring 81 × 61 cm, this piece is a masterful example of reverse painting on glass, a technique that King has perfected with his layered acrylic approach on toughened glass. The scene depicts a lone stag standing amidst a forest of silhouetted trees, set against a breathtaking sky that transitions from deep blues to vibrant oranges. The celestial backdrop, reminiscent of a starry night, adds a mystical quality to the piece, drawing viewers into its tranquil yet powerful presence. King’s signature, cleverly reversed when framed, adds a unique touch to this one-of-a-kind creation. ‘Mercy’ would make a stunning addition to any collection, offering a window into the beauty and mystery of the natural world.
