Mackenzie Thorpe’s ‘Surprise’ is a captivating exploration of life’s dualities, captured in a single, original piece. This mixed media artwork, framed and set on paper, invites viewers into a serene forest scene where humour and whimsy take centre stage. A lone figure stands by a tranquil lake, tethered to an enormous, heart-shaped balloon. The warm hues of autumn leaves and the gentle reflection on the water create a harmonious backdrop, evoking a sense of peace and introspection. This piece would make a delightful addition to any collection, offering both visual beauty and a reminder of life’s tender surprises.
